For over 10 years, our therapy practice has been offering unique internship opportunities for professionals worldwide, providing a supportive environment to grow, learn, and contribute to the well-being of children. Our program is designed to offer hands-on experience in pediatric therapy while collaborating with a network of therapists. Join us to deepen your expertise, gain invaluable cross-cultural experience, and be part of a global community dedicated to advancing pediatric care.
Each internship will be designed to the professional’s unique needs. A form will be completed to support the internship design.
Our Internship Program Includes
- Program Overview: Introduction to our mission, values, and structure
- Safety and Ethical Guidelines: Ensuring interns understand confidentiality, safety, and ethical standards for pediatric care
- Ethics and Professionalism: Guidance on professional behavior, boundaries, and ethical considerations when working with pediatric clients
- Facility Tour and Staff Introduction: Orientation to the environment and key team members
- Mentorship: A dedicated pediatric therapist offering ongoing guidance and support
- Regular Check-ins: Scheduled discussions with supervisor to track progress and address challenges
- Case Discussions: Opportunities for observing and participating in clinical reasoning, treatment planning, and decision-making
The Internship May Also Include
- Client Interaction: Hands-on experience working with children across various developmental stages
- Therapeutic Interventions: Assisting in therapy sessions with guidance from treating therapists
- Assessment Experience: Involvement in pediatric assessments, including developmental screenings and evaluations
- Interdisciplinary Teamwork: Collaboration with speech therapists, occupational therapists, and DIRFloortime® professionals
- Collaborative Treatment Plans: Participation in team meetings to develop comprehensive, multi-disciplinary care plans
- Workshops and Training: Access to specialized workshops via the Maude Le Roux Academy per individualized consideration
- Self-Reflection: Encouragement for interns to reflect on their experiences, skills, and goals
- Post-Internship Opportunities: Discussion on integrating business or practice management tools in professional settings
- Record-Keeping: Familiarization with clinical templates for accurate documentation of client records and therapy progress
- Case Presentations: Interns present challenging case scenarios, discussing outcomes, processes, and new insights gained during the internship

- Program Cost: Fees will be determined based on the mutually agreed-upon internship components for licensed professionals (no charge for student interns)
- Scheduling and Agreement: Once dates are confirmed, an agreement will be signed
- Schedule: Interns will receive their program schedule one week prior to arrival
